Show the hiding place
Leave one or two holes open with a dry treat easy to see and reach. Let your dog find those first.

Loosely cover a few filled holes with carrots. Keep the first search simple and help if your dog gets stuck.

Reset the patch
Move the treats between rounds. Afterwards, remove crumbs and put all twelve carrots back before storing.
